EMENERGI, in collaboration with VMS Group, has acted as an advisor regarding a customer’s wishes to retrofit their current ship from being equipped with an older and high energy-consuming propulsion system to a new energy-efficient diesel electric system. The customer needed a complete overview of consumption in all systems and what the real need was for the systems. EMENERGI prepared a complete energy and operating profile for the shipping company, where several solutions were assessed and compared in relation to energy consumption, CO2 emissions and investments. The customer obtained a full overview of solutions and the returns on investments, so that they could continue working with decisions about a major investment with peace of mind.
